There are about 20 countries where voting is mandatory such as Australia, Belgium, Brazil, etc. and there are some people insisting that voting should be compulsory in Korea as well. However, I think it doesn't meet the purpose of the election and actually it can have an inappropriate effect on elections.   Voting system is a means of electing a right person for the country and choosing the suitable one is the purpose. But, it is obvious that it's very hard for almost every citizen to carefully consider the candidates and examine all the election pledges of so many candidates. That is, these comparing and weighing up the policies of the candidates would be too much of a hassle to people leading a busy life.   In addition, if people who never pay attention to the politics participate in the election just to be faithful to his or her duties, his or her thoughtless choice never help elect a qualified candidate, which is the basic purpose of the voting, and it might even cause a negative effect on choosing the right one. It might be better for the citizens who are ordinarily indifferent to the politics to give up their rights.   The problem is on the people that don't exercise their rights just because they are too lazy. This attitude harms the basic meaning of the election, but I think if they really care about matters of state and have clear political opinion naturally do voting as they have strong view about the political issues. When these people's opinions gather, we can get the result reflecting the public opinion.   Joining the election shouldn't be said to be "must do" like rules and regulations in the sense that the fundamental aim for voting is electing a right person for our country. If voting becomes mandatory, people who don't care about the politics will rush their decisions and this can not only leads wrong decisions. Maybe, we need to promote awareness of taking more interest in the matters of our country first.

 'Election day is holiday'

 Most of Koreans think like that. Election day became holiday to raise turnout of voters, but many people take the rest or go vacation in voting day. People said voting should be mandatory because of low vote-rates phenomenon but others opposed. Mandatory of voting have to be thought seriously.

 

 Why people opposed to compulsory voting? Vote is not duty but right. In Korea constitution there are some laws about right of vote. Besides there are nothing about duty of vote. Many people who disagree with vote mandatory say 'It is excessive interfere of government.'

 

 Of course vote mandatory is good way for raising amount of vote rates. But although they make more people vote, it doesn't mean that people want to vote. Vote is most important and effective way to participate in politics of country especially in democracy nations. Forcing the vote to people is wrong way for democracy. It can harm the meanings of democracy.

 

 One of most important opinions about low vote-rates is hopeless. People don't expect about better world or good politicians. Many politicians did lot of bad things and made people disappointed so people think like 'Politicians are same'. Korea government lost people's faith. If someone want to raise vote-rates, they have to improve politicians' images and behaviors.

 

 Something that make people move is not force but mind. Before they force something to citizens, they have to think about our mind and thinking. They should change themselves not the rules.

They do not live in order to work, but they work for the better life. Also, it is sad that children said like that, so parents should spend more time with their kids.                Earning money is important to live every single day in life, and people need money to buy the time saving devices, for example. They can enrich people's life. However, it is also important for people to develop themselves. If people have some time that can do something they like, they can further improve themselves, and might get a better job. Then, through development, they can earn more money and feel their successes.                In conclusion, there is a lot more to life than work. Therefore, people should take a rest and refresh themselves to relive stress. Also, they should know that being happy in life is priority than working, and it may be good to have time for self-improvement during leisure time, so it is important that people work less and have more leisure time.

Dangers of fast foods in your health.

                Health is one of the largest issues in modern society. But, ironically, fast food restaurants are also prevalent all over the world. Are hamburgers, chickens, fried potatoes, and other kinds of fast food good for your health? You maybe know they are not. Then, why is fast food so popular? Fast food restaurants sell their food quickly, cheaply and simply; so people who are accustomed to finishing things in a short time are relieved because they think they save their time, money, and efforts. But they do not consider how much fast foods have the danger on their health.

                First, they have caused nutritional unbalance. Most people live without so much as considering what kinds of nutrients are in their foods. The main ingredients used in fast foods are animal protein, fat, refined sugar, artificial flavor enhancer and so on. But they don't consist of enough green and yellow vegetables which are full of vitamins and minerals.

                They are also too high in calories. You maybe hear on the news about how many calories are in a hamburger. For examples, a chicken burger at Lotteria has about 441calories; a cheese hamburger at KFC has 492; a BigMac at MacDonald has 500. A person can consume all calories he or she needs for entire day in one sitting at a fast food restaurant. So they are also one of the main causes of obesity.

                They have other potential risk factors that contribute to heart attacks, cancer, and other diseases. People can react badly to certain food additives in fast foods. And inspectors found endocrine-disrupting chemicals at some foods in MacDonald, KFC, Haagendazs, Pizzahut and etc. Furthermore, some stores have been designated as having sanitary problems.

                As you see above, they cause nutritional unbalance, obesity and various diseases. They are bad for your health, although fast foods have merits such as convenience, simplicity and speediness. So you have to make smart choices on your foods. Then, you will be more healthy.

However, if they download and share it because of the thought others do the same as them, it is equal that people commit a crime and then say, "It is all right because we do it all together."   In conclusion, People can listen to music from the site such as Melon with little money, and Korea is broadening a music market in Asia and, by extension, in the world. Therefore, people should recognize the problems which are able to show as a result of downloading and sharing MP3 files illegally on the Internet.

             Have you ever missed something you used in your teens? In my case, I have missed letters written by hand, the phone box in front of my school and junk food I ate. The thing I miss the most is my CD player which I always carried. Nowadays, however, I prefer to use MP3 players. Likewise, most people usually use MP3s rather than CDs. Using MP3 players cause a serious problem; the downloading and sharing of music from the Internet. A single click for illegal music files leads to bad effects.

             First of all, the quality of music will be declining if we continue to download music illegally. Nowadays, investors realize that making and selling music CDs are unprofitable and reduce their investments. Consequently, record producers have to make albums with little money, and it causes the low-quality music. Also, if people in the music industry run a deficit on their business, they have low morale to make the best music.

             In the long run, the failure of music industry can have a bad influence on the Korean economy. "The Korean wave" is spread of Korean culture around the world. It helps develop the Korean economy. Music is one of the important parts of the Korean Wave. For example, BoA is a famous singer who starts "The Korean wave" in Japan. According to research in Samsung Securities Co., her economic value is worth up to 1 trillion won. However, the music industry can fall into a decline due to the illegal downloads of music. It hinders the development of the culture industry. Finally, the Korean industry will be negatively affected.

             Some people say that they download and share music because CDs are too expensive to buy. They usually listen to two or three songs, not all of the songs in a CD. As a result, they do not want to pay 20,000 won to listen to a few songs. I understand their opinion, but the illegal download is not a proper solution. In order to address people's complaints, the recording industry offers several ideas, including selling low-priced CDs that have only a couple of songs on them.

             We should stop downloading and sharing music off the Internet because it may lead to bad-quality of music and the stagnation of economy. People in the music industry should seek a great solution to prevent from music piracy. Also, listeners have to be aware that downloading and sharing music is totally illegal and appreciate efforts of people creating music. Lastly, everyone should remember what our one click for illegal music files can bring.

He wrote this song in 2007 to raise awareness about irresponsible act of downloading free music. As it says, it is not right and should be banned to download music off the internet and share with others.   Free music does kill the musicians. It costs only 600won to download one song from the online music services and about 10 percent of its profit goes to artists including composers and lyric writers. Though it is really cheap compared to buying a CD, there are still people who try to get music for free illegally and this situation leads musician not to make enough profit to continue to survive in the music industry.   Some people say "Those songs are crap. That's why I just get it for free, I mean, they are not worth paying." However, it is they that make those songs crap because the musicians have to make an album with a low budget and thus, sometimes they can't afford to make songs with good quality. And for the same reason, Korean pop music is full of Idol music and there is no diversity at all. That's because music industry put money only on the music which can be profitable.   It is said that if we reduce only 10 percent of the illegal downloading, it can create more than 80 thousand new jobs. And if lots of new jobs in this field are made, music business will be activated and this will make Korean music have broad variety of genre and be rich in quality as well. As a result, we can enjoy many different and high quality music.   Korea is a top ranked country in the world as subscribing to an online music services but there are still those who insist on free music. This irresponsible behavior destroys music industry but also our entire art culture. We must stop this right now.
